They opt in social media and start publishing with no clear plan and methods. Don’t fall victim to this.

When I mentioned SMART, I mean you set goals that are:

  • Measurable
  • Attainable
  • Relevant
  • Time-bound

SMART goals increase your productivity since they are intentionally and consciously written. You will likely achieve them in short period of time.

Sit down and write on a book realistic goals you want to achieve with social media marketing.

Set measurable goals you know you can work with. Don’t over exaggerate neither should you come too low.

About the durations?

Your social media marketing goals can be yearly, monthly, or weekly. As for me, I prefer setting daily goals in my for my marketing strategy. It serves as a constant reminder so I don’t look focus.

Do you know your targeted audience? How much about them do you know?

Your social media post is not your business neither is it the totality of what brings you success. It’s just a part of the whole.

Trends get your post to the screen of so many persons since that is what most persons are interested in at the time.

Your potential customers are at a large number following the current trend. So why wouldn’t take advantage of this by using same hashtags they are using.

Note: You should be careful of the trends you use. You don’t want to use trends that are illegal or abusive. It can destroy your brand.

Also, don’t use too many hashtags because it will spread your contents too thin with no profitable results.

I recommend you stick with at most 5 relevant hashtags for your industry including 2 unique to your brand.
