Nigeria Police Force Recruitment: 7 Requirements You Must Meet

Interested Nigerians can now apply for the Nigeria Police recruitment by creating an account on the portal.

It cannot be overstated how essential it is to follow instructions diligently, as any violation of specific guidelines can cause immediate disqualification.

Since its creation in 1930, the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has functioned as the main law enforcement agency in Nigeria, maintaining total control all over the country.

Requirements for the Nigeria Police Force Recruitments

You are eligible to apply on the Nigeria Police recruitment portal if you meet the following eight (8) requirements.

1) If you’re not between the ages of 18-28, you can’t apply, simple.

2) You must be a citizen of Nigeria with a valid means of identification like a driver’s license, International Passport, or Voters Card.

3) The height criteria differ for male and female applicants, with a minimum of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females.

4) A minimum chest measurement of 0.86m is necessary if you are a male.

5) You should have at least five(5) credits, including Mathematics and English, in WASSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB. Your results should not be over 10 years from the application year.

6) The application process requires filling out a guarantor’s form that must include verifiable references.

7) If you have the following, you can’t apply.

  • Speech Impediment,
  • Bow Legs, Knock or Bent Knees,
  • Flat Feet or Deformed Hands,
  • Tattoos or Bodily Scar,
  • Defective Eyesight or Squint Eyes,
  • Amputation of any part of the body,
  • Gross Malformation of teeth, and
  • Protruding Navel.

8) Last, pregnant women cannot apply.

Nigeria Police Force Ranks and Salary Structure

The Nigeria Police Force salary has a structure that pays according to two factors: Grades and Levels.

You can see an officer receiving more than his colleagues in the same DSP rank because of the difference in levels.
